Designed and handcrafted in France by a passionate team, LPLR Eyewear, an acronym for “La Petite Lunette Rouge,” was born from the meeting of Alison Hemmes, a talented designer, and Hilarhi Arcade, the visionary founder of the brand. The name “La Petite Lunette Rouge” originates from the iconic logo created by Alison, long before the first pair of glasses was ever designed.

Alison and Hilarhi, behind mysterious anagrams, choose to conceal their true identities to better highlight their creations. Their artistic approach, imbued with the provocative spirit of contemporary art, gives each frame a distinctive boldness. For them, the quest for uniqueness and modernism is an endless adventure.

“In eyewear creation, everything has already been done, and we must revisit the past to create the future,” states Hilarhi. This philosophy translates into a deep inspiration drawn from the 80s, a decade rich in innovation and bold design. Thus, each LPLR frame is marked with a double line, an elegant nod to the iconic solar clips of that era. Initially only in red, the upper bar now comes in a palette of shades, giving each pair a personalized and modern touch.
